Changing Lives
Karma and free software adventures in Amazonas
A friend from the Museu Goeldi in Belem,Para sent
me this message:
Mate, your visit here served as a jumping off point
for us, 'the PPBio' in the world of free software.
I started to use Ubuntu and haven't stopped since.
Today I use Linux more than Windows. I am also
learning to use Django and start to use it in the
PPBio and also in my other work outside the Museum.
As for Plone we had to stop for a while because of
the Plant Collection project...because we have not
yet mastered Python we wrote it in PHP, it is not
yet tested and we will certainly migrate it to Django.
When it is ready we will return to studying Plone for
other projects at the Museum.
The next e-mail I received was an invitation onto
the BricoLabs discussion list ;)
